Community Involvement
Kiwanis Sunrisers are always looking for new areas of involvement within their community and enjoy being active. Proceeds from our fund raising projects make possible our support of a wide variety of community service projects, including, but not limited to:
- Providing funds for free books for over 400 kids through the Reading is Fundamental program at Lincoln Elementary School.
- Coordinating the Adair Village Easter Egg Hunt
- Providing funds and coordinating the SMART (Start Making A Reader Today) Program at Mt. View Elementary School.
- Providing funding in support of the Reading Buddies Program at Cheldelin Middle School
- Sponsoring the Heartland Humane Society Kiwanis Kid's Club
- Conducting the Community Leadership Education Workshop (CLEW) for local High School students.
- Sponsoring the OSU Circle K Club, the Corvallis High Key Club, and several Boy Scout and Cub Scout units.
